The Adventure Challenge Course is an experiential adventure program designed to inspire courage, connection, and discovery within one’s self, within their group, and in nature through exhilarating outdoor experiences.

Our season runs from March through November. Bookings are available Tuesdays-Sundays by appointment.

Every group experience delivered at our adventure challenge course is customized to the group’s needs, so course participation is by appointment only. We would love to get to know you and learn more about your group, so please get in touch by filling out an inquiry form.

General athletic ability: If you can climb two sets of stairs and push a lawn mower, you are athletic enough to participate in our low-ropes elements.

Our course was designed, built, and certified according to national ACCT standards for adventure courses by Adventure Designs & Training, an ACCT-approved vendor out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Rain or shine, cold or not, we will go ahead with any scheduled group booking. However, we always have a staff member monitoring weather conditions, and in the event of lightning or thunder, extreme heat, or high winds, we will exit the course and return to shelter. If unfavorable conditions persist for long enough, we will work with group representatives to find a good date to reschedule.

Yes, we always have new ideas in the works. Future plans include more thrill-based activities, but teambuilding will always be our heart and soul.

Sugar Works Adventure Park is proud to be the public-facing program at The Villages, Inc., a non-profit organization in Topeka that, since 1964, has been providing a home and a family to youth and other vulnerable populations, all within the healing power of a natural environment.
